ICT Services support students, teaching staff, service departments and collaborative partners with everything related to IT across the campus.

If you need to speak to someone face to face, you can drop in and see one of the student technicians on the first floor of the Main Building. The team provides friendly, professional advice and support.

What is available?

When you start university, you will be given a personal student email address which staff will use to contact you if necessary. It is important to keep checking this account for information and updates.

Microsoft Office 365 is free for all students and includes a range of Microsoft Office programs as well as 1Tb of free storage through OneDrive.

All students and staff can login to eduroam Wi-Fi, which has access points across the globe in higher education institutions as well as public spaces.

You will also be able to work anywhere with Cloud Desktop and online systems, which allow students and staff to access their software and files from anywhere in the world. There are also over 2000 PCs and Macs in Learning areas and Labs across the University.

The University’s ICT team work closely with leading vendors such as Adobe, Microsoft, SPSS and Autodesk to provide you with a range of free and on-campus software.
