The VLE and Global Lounge
Virtual Learning Enviorment
The University of Lincoln uses Blackboard as its Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) for most campus-based courses, and online micro-credential short courses. Moodle is the VLE for the Lincoln Medical School and Canvas is the VLE for Lincoln’s Online Programmes. These online platforms contain information about your modules and are key resource for your studies.
You will gain access to this VLE upon arrival at the University and will then have access to your modules and a range of general support information. It is important that you check your access as soon as you are able.
Global Lounge
You will also join the Global Lounge (run by the Global Experiences Team) this can be accessed once you have registered with the University. The Global Lounge is a specific support area for all International Students across the University, learn of events, activities and build networks and friendships.
You will also be sent the Global Lounge Newsletter directly to your inbox every Monday and will give you information about all activities happening across the university that week and specific events for you run by the Global Experiences Team in the Global Lounge Area in Lincoln International Business School.
The Global Lounge has fun and games catch up every Wednesday at 1pm where you can grab a free coffee and meet up with other students, play some table tennis or even a board game. If you have any questions, contact Rebecca in the Global Experiences Team LIBSget@lincoln.ac.uk.
