Submitting an Assessment via a Blackboard Assignment

This guide details how make a submission to a Blackboard Assignment Submission Point. Your module tutor will add a range of assignments to your module site, accessed by the link on the course menu called “Assessments.”

  1. Firstly, log into Blackboard and access the My BB Sites page.
  2. Locate the module you are required to submit an assessment for, you can search for your module by ID or name.
  3. Click the ‘Assessments’ link on the navigation menu, located on the left-hand side of your module.
  4. When you have found the assignment you need to submit to, move your mouse cursor over the title and click the hyperlink to be taken to the submission point.

  1. You will see an overview of the submission and spaces to write your submission in a text box, or more likely provided supporting information, then a ‘Browse Local Files’ button which will allow you to upload a range of files
  2. Click ‘Browse Local Files’ and locate the file or files that are part of your assessment, then click Open/press enter.

  1. When you are happy with your submission, click the Submit button in the bottom-right of the screen.

  1. You will see a confirmation that your submission is complete, and should receive an email shortly afterwards.

Please note: When you finish your assignment, you must select Submit. If you don’t, your instructor won’t receive your completed assignment. If your instructor hasn’t allowed multiple attempts, you may submit your assignment only once. Before you select Submit, be sure that you have attached any required files.
